My job requires the use of these Windows applications.

PTC Pro/Engineer
Autocad
Adobe Acrobat
Adobe FrameMaker
3D Studio Max
Adobe Photoshop

My question is, Which Programming application is be best suited to automate task within these programs? Visual Basic?, Visual C++?, Java? I'm sure there are others. My experience has been limited to creating Bat files in DOS so far.

TIA;
Sounds like a job for a macro program. I've recently installed a freeware program called Quick Macros from: http://download.com. Do a search on "macros" and you'll find it no problem

I haven't had a chance to use it much, but it looks pretty good and might be just what you're looking for...
