Hi there!
I have to create a Flowsheet tool for an engineering package.
On the right part I would have a list of icons. Then, I should be able to drag them to the main flowsheet window. Then, I would be able to connect them with streams. Finally, I should be able to click on any stream or unit to introduce and retrieve data.
The thing is... I am completely lost! I am almost sure that somebody must have developed this before. If you see, it is like SmartDraw, or Microsoft Visio. I know this is a little bit vague, but I'm sure somebody must have had the same problem...
Any ideas or useful comments, please?

You are attempting something really massive. Why not purchase comercial software that already does this? Check out Chemstations . They have software to do this Richard Ay 字串3

You could look at ControlDraw.
It does what you ask and far more.
