Autodesk Grading Objects

I like using grading objects in Land Desktop, the only thing is once in a while I get a strange line that shoots down to nowhere and messes up my calculations. I checked all of the vertexes for the correct elevation, and looked to see if there was a grip on the end but there isn't. It's always on an inside corner of grading object. If I move the grips in the area around, I can usually get rid of it, unforunately this means somewhat distorting my grading footprint a bit.

Why does this happen? How can it be avoided/recconciled?

The line I've dicovered goes to 0,0,0.

CHECK YOUR 3D POLYLINE WHICH YOU ARE YOU ARE USING FOR GRADINGS, IT MIGHT BE A GRIP WITH ELEVATION ZERO THAT CAUSE THAT PROBLEM, CHECK ALL THE ELEVSATION OF YOUR 3D POLYLINE WITH EDIT 3D POLYLINE COMMAND IN 3D POLYLINE MENU
